Moon in Capricorn
- I WON’T GIVE UP
The Moon in Capricorn sets the tone for the week, providing a can-do sort of energy. You see, Saturn rules Capricorn, and right now, Saturn is changing the way we do or approach things, under the influence of Aquarius.
Leon Megginson said ‘It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but It is the one most adaptable to change’. Saturn in Aquarius is all about innovation, evolution and adapting.
So, whatever your goal maybe this week, it’s about adapting and making a change in order to succeed. Moon in Capricorn is not a quitter, and we’ve all been learning how to adapt given the global situation.
The Moon in Capricorn provides the courage and tenacity to make progress towards your goals. Capricorn governed by Saturn represents strength, consistency and effort, the three things required for each of us to be successful.
Saturn in Aquarius requires us to step outside our comfort zone. It’s a need to test, experiment and search for new and improved ways to reach your goals. Success right now depends heavily on our social connections and interactions as all things, opportunities included come from other people.
When the Moon is in Capricorn we become a lot more focused on our aims, what we truly seek to accomplish and how best we can get there. Capricorn is a mountain climber and anyone who’s climbed a mountain will tell you just how difficult and challenging it can be
So, when we deal with Capricorn energy, we deal with the ability to not quit, back down or surrender. Capricorn is cardinal, meaning it’s an initiator of change; Capricorn being the transition from Winter to Spring, it’s how to let go of the things that have no place in what we’re seeding to grow.
The week, therefore, beginning in Capricorn is sure to bring change around business, work ethic and our aims in life. It’s an energy that will focus on the big picture and to release what doesn’t help us get there.
Capricorn places a lot of value on what we do, our legacy and the mark we leave on the world at large. We are what we most often do. Do you do what’s needed to reach your goals? How committed are you to your purpose?
UTTARA ASHADHA
THE FINAL VICTORY
Uttara Ashadha being the Nakshatra to set off the week brings about an undefeated and FINAL victory. A week that will encourage you to not waiver from your dreams but to remain focused and accomplish your goals.
Anything is possible under the influence of the Ashadha’s, they find a way to push past any and all obstacles that stand in the way of what you aim to achieve. It’s not so much about wishing and wanting, but more so about making it literally happen.
It's NOT the time to quit on your dreams or dare fall back into past habits feeling defeated. It's time, your time to make it happen. So connect deeply with your why and radically change your approach.
Uttara Ashadha says “fortune favours the bold”, so be BOLD & be fearless in the pursuit of all you seek to accomplish. It's not if you’ll achieve what you set out to do; it's only a matter of when. You only fail if you quit, so DON'T quit.
Uttara Ashadha is what comes after Purva Ashadha, the invincible one. Purva set the goal and carefully planned out every single step of the mission to see it through to fulfilment. Think Oceans 8 (movie), Purva Ashadha prepares, plans and executes with precision and achieves what others deem impossible. Uttara is all that comes after, you’ve done it before you can do it again. It’s what happens after you claim your treasure, reach your goal or win the war.
When you deal with the energy of Purva Ashadha, you’re encouraged to begin projects, master your skills and gather all the resources you need to see your project through to success. When you connect with like-minded people, skilled and talented in areas you may not be, you can safely eliminate obstacles you would otherwise face.
When you deal with Uttara Ashadha, you’re cautioned to not waver from your goals, ambitions and dreams.
To use the example of the Oceans Movie franchise, each ‘job’ requires certain skills. They gather the most skilled people with their diverse skill set and when they come together they form a well-oiled machine that gets the job done.
Teamwork and alliances are often, too, important under this lunar mansion. Joining forces with experts in their fields can help you triumph over anything. I often see under this energy a point of view, perspective, being able to see things from all angles aids in the preparation to achieve one's goals.
A week beginning under Uttara Ashadha is about sticking to your goals and intentions. It’s about fearlessness and courage to see your goals reach completion. Step into your confidence, skills and talents and don’t allow distractions take you away from what means the most to you.
Moon collides with Pluto
UNLOCKING HIDDEN FEELINGS & MEMORIES
On Monday you’ll receive some form of triggered memory or something buried, perhaps a truth you’ve neglected yourself will come to light.
You see, the human brain is an incredible machine. You never truly forget anything, it’s all stored in your brain just waiting to be reassessed like a computer searching for a misplaced file.
When the Moon collides with Pluto each month, you get a dose of cold hard truths, or hidden and forgotten things come back to light. The Moon, in many ways, acts like a heart, and you cannot hide from your true feelings, fears and self.
Whatever is exposed will bring liberation and greater freedom. Don’t be afraid to take action, to follow your heart and to be honest with yourself about what you actually need.
The Moon, when it connects to Pluto, is pushing you towards tapping into your hidden talent, repressed power and towards a change. Allow the pain of not accomplishing your goals drive you towards positive change to make them happen.
The Moon also looks towards Neptune, giving the confirmations that tasks that begin today (on Monday), can aid you in turning dreams into a reality. Don’t be afraid of change, the change is necessary for future progress.
Moon hugs Saturns
TOUGH LOVE & SAGE ADVICE
Tuesday, the Moon hugs and connects with Saturn, the wise one. It’s the next step in taking action, with some sage advice given to you from the Sensei himself, Saturn.
When the Moon and Saturn connect each month, it can bring a disconnect from emotions and provide tough love to accomplish something you truly desire. You have to meet the universe halfway, and Saturn will give the cue for you to put something into action.
If you want results Saturn says you need to be first, consistent, second, have a plan and three, follow your plan. Mainly it’s all about the first step, consistency, your results are based on what you do consistently.
The Moon also trines Mars on Wednesday another push for you to initiate a plan and begin consistently to work towards putting the plan into action.
Moon Conjunct Jupiter
ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES
On Tuesday/Wednesday, we have the Moon merging with Jupiter, the planet of expansion, growth and opportunity. Both energies are fertile and promote growth and with just under a week before the New Moon, I feel there could be inspired ideas and divine guidance with what will be seeded, come through today.
It’s energy depending on where it takes place for you natally can manifest in various ways. It can come in the form of a surprise gift being given. I might even appear as a chance opportunity or finding the information you’ve been searching for.
Jupiter with the Moon is always welcomed as it provides guidance, hope and inspiration. It opens up new doors and possibilities for something more, better and improved.
Pay attention on Wednesday for something pleasantly unexpected.
Moon Square Mars
THE BEST NEXT STEP, TAKING ACTION
Friday we also have the Moon in conflict with Mars. It’s when you can feel restless, wanting to take action and yet, are you taking the right next step or just impulsively jumping into the fire?
Moon also looks to Uranus, the planet of unexpected changes and new information. Part of why you might feel compelled to jump into action could be because you become privy to new info that changes your perspective on something.
When Mars and Moon square, they are acting from an emotionally frustrating place. It’s great to connect to your why and for it to fuel you further toward your goals, but Mars is sharp and hot, and often there are consequences to the actions you make.
You must remember Mars is a soldier, a courageous warrior, so discipline and a battle plan are needed for any warrior to be victorious. Hold your horses, try not to rush into anything.
Moon Kisses Neptune
FOLLOW YOUR INTUITION & HAVE FAITH
Friday, the Moon and Neptune Kiss, it’s during this time you set your intention for the future free and have faith you’ll reach it. Of course, you’ll have to follow the signs, meet the universe halfway to make it happen.
When Moon and Neptune get close, intuition, insights, dream messages come through like a strong Wifi signal. Pay attention to the things that keep coming up, be it on TV, thoughts, images, symbols, situations look for the patterns and see where they lead you.
Chiron, the Moon & Mercury
HEALING WOUNDS
On Friday into the weekend Chiron the asteroid of wounds, healing and pain will be visited by Mercury and then the Moon. Mercury only visits Chiron once a year in it’s conjunction, and so being as Mercury is the mind, we can become more aware over our past hang ups, wounds and all that holds us back.
When Chiron and Mercury join together the topic of conversation can be a testy one. Wounds from the past can be triggered , that test us to see if you’ve moved past such things. A time we’re called to forgive and forget so we might allow ourselves to heal and move forward.
Mercury allows us to process and shift our perspective to seek a solution so allow those old wounds to heal for good. We often can find ourselves talking about our insecurities, or faced with them in a way to push us to deal with them.
The Moon visits Chiron every 28 days in it’s connecting aspect and also provides a release to let go of things that we’ve been too hard on ourselves with. We can feel partially triggered by a reminder of what happened once before.
Vulnerability rises up when Chiron is activated, but at the same time it provides the key to personal growth and our own evolution.
Aries New Moon
‘A LEADER LEADS BY EXAMPLE, NOT BY FORCE’
- SUN TZU
The entire week is building to this cycle of the Moon, Monday April 12, 03:30 am GMT, the New Moon.
The New Moon is when the Sun and Moon form a 0' angle to each other, forming an astrological aspect called a conjunction. It's the time in the month the Moon will disappear from the night sky.
The New Moon is when something is being seeded that will begin to uncover as the Moon grows over the coming few weeks. New Moons reveal new pieces of our life story, calling in new energy, themes and situations.
A New Moon under the influence of Aries is likely to bring up matters around achievement, goals and personal power. The first New Moon of Spring is officially here, and it’s about the determination to make something happen. It’s time to reach your goals and watch your dreams grow to fruition.
Ares is a sign that, of course, is ruled by Mars, the planet of action, will, courage and power. It’s a New Moon that holds the symbolism of force and single focus toward what you want most right now in your life.
Under the sway of Revati, it can bring forth the question of whether or not you’re living in your values, ethics and standards. Are you all talk, no action, because the New Moon here will call you out on it. If you want something you have to go out and get it!
Mars is a warrior, he has a mission, he trains daily for it and he has a plan of execution. When you’re at war there’s no timeouts, and so whatever you want to manifest is largely dependent upon the things you do, most of the time.
We have the Sun, Moon and Venus in Aries, with the support of Mars and Jupiter. Then you have Pluto in a harsh aspect to what’s being seeded. If you want to win, accomplish and reach your goal to see your intention come to light, you’ll need to change your strategy and approach.
Aries is fiercely independent, it’s a workaholic and always busy sort of energy. Aries succeeds because they’re consistent, they train and they put in 100%. It’s the IAM notion, the New Moon is about action, strategy and training. You cannot be something if you don’t do something.
With the Sun/Venus/Chiron/Moon/Mercury being ruled by Mars and Mars connected to Rahu, it’s necessary to break free and into a new direction. Things must evolve, adapt, grow and shift. It's required for survival and the progression of humanity.
I’ll post more about the New Moon later in the week. I will, of course, discuss the New Moon for each sign in the personal weekly Horoscopes for those who’ve subscribed.
TAROT ENERGY OF THE WEEK.
THREE of CUPS - TEMPERANCE - FIVE of SWORDS
This week's primary energy is the Three of Cups, the card of celebration, friendship, community and good times on the horizon. The energy of the Three of Cups shows quality friendships, support, social engagements and a reason to let your hair down and have a good time.

The Three of Cups is a card that provides that sense of belonging, feeling understood, part of a group and therefore points to your tribe. A gathering of some kind is likely with this card, a reason to celebrate, whether it's a new job, birthday, holiday, new baby, marriage or another form of good news, it’s sharing it with those who mean the most.
The card is a representation of the family you choose and not necessarily the family you’re born into. It’s those deep and soulful connections of mutual interests, shared experiences and an extension of yourself.
The Three of cups brings the energy of Spring and Summer, where everything is alive and there’s reason to laugh, party, dance and play. It brings good conversation, wonderful company and experiences that will live on in your memories after the fact.
The Second card pulled was the Temperance, in answer to the situation or challenge of most importance for the week.
Temperance is a card of divine timing, healing, moderation and patience. It’s the card of alchemy, making magic and manifesting your intentions.
Temperance is the cosmic bartender, mixing you a speciality drink & offering an out of the box solution to whatever is in question. Oftentimes, she comes up to tell you that the answer involves two opposing forces, solutions or actions that once done together will solve the issue you face.
It’s where you typically mix different situations to create a better one. It’s about finding balance, a middle ground but mostly It’s about getting your life together.
When she falls within a challenging position she forwarns you that something is out of balance. There’s either too much of something or not enough.
The card that follows this one is the Devil, and so it’s an omen that if you continue down this path, you could end up being at the mercy of a bad habit, toxic relationship, addition or obsession. After all, Temperance is about moderation and everything in its right time.
It might be that you could find yourself overindulging, participating in addictive activities or not getting enough rest. All of this will lead to a cause and effect, of allowing your responsibilities and duties to slip taking you away from your intent, goals and aspirations.
I guess what’s being highlighted as a warning, challenge or an issue is about pushing yourself to extremes. Overdoing it on the booze, food and party habits. Perhaps you’ve become a couch potato, too much tv, Netflix and movies. The imbalance usually appears in the form of taking you away from what's really important, the stuff that adds to your life.
Now, of course, indulging, drinking every now and again, binging a tv show on occasion is 100% okay. It only becomes a problem if it turns into a full-fledged habit. So, again, Temperance is saying things could get a little out of whack, and to be mindful of this, so you don’t miss out on the blessings she can offer when it comes to manifesting your intentions.
The Five of Swords appeared in response to the advice for the week. The Five of Swords advice is about weighing the cost of your actions. If you have duties and responsibilities for a specific day, it might not be wise to stay up all night drinking with your friends the night before.
You don’t need to win all the time and sure, you don’t need to be on your A-game all the time either. It’s important though that you make the choice for yourself and not because you feel peer pressured into doing something.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to not get involved. If you are involved then it’s about setting your limits and sticking to them. It’s not about being a pushover.
The advice offered by the Five of Swords is saying don’t let FOMO take you off course. Try not to let fear of failing stop you from taking action. It’s about putting things into perspective, weighing the consequences for and against, while also knowing that this one moment won’t define you.
The take from the Five of Swords to self reflect on what ways you might be self-sabotaging yourself. It might even be that you need to seriously question who you place your trust in, and seek greater confidence in saying no if it’s not what YOU want.
The advice is to skip the headache, don’t fall victim to negativity, gloating, heckling or the need for revenge. Remember that your actions have consequences.
To summarise, this week will ask you to commit to a goal. You’ll need to walk your talk and align your actions towards what matters most to you. There’ll need to be significant changes in your approach and to note that your actions have consequences.
It’s likely to be a week that triggers old wounds, try to forgive and let go instead of planning your revenge. Also, don’t let FOMO get in the way of your progress. Everything in moderation, don’t fall into bad habits.
For your weekly horoscope, for your Zodiac Sign, they'll go live a little later, on the website. If your enjoyed this, please feel free to SHARE IT!
