As you may know, I'm a working spiritual practitioner, meaning I channel and work with a variety of energies every single day. Clearing the negative juju is a must, and over the past decade, I've become quite the savant in energy clearings.
I'd like to take today to share some of my top ways of clearing your space, and perhaps you might give my favorite a whirl.
First, let's break them down into reasons you might feel the need to clear your space, shall we?
You've been feeling slow, stagnant, and cannot muster the energy to do anything.
If this is you, I highly recommend moving every piece of furniture in your space. If you tend to feel stuck in yourself, your life, and your living space, you are simply picking up on the trapped Qi around you.
Three things influence everything here on Earth, the Heavenly energies, the Human energies & the Environmental energies. So it makes sense that if you've personally felt unable to shift or motivate yourself, then either the Heavenly Energies are strongly activated in your chart right now (which we'll discuss in a bit), or the environment suppressing you.

Heavenly Energies are somewhat more complicated to remedy, but the environment is pretty simple. All you have to do is shake up your living space by moving things around to get the Qi moving. Open your windows and have a massive top to bottom spring clean. Be sure to clean your windows to allow the Qi inside and open them up to allow Qi to move through your space. You want to ensure the mouth of the Qi (front door) is also obstruction-free. Is it inviting? Do you have plants or a pleasant doorway?
Then there's the decluttering. Time to get organized, have a space and place for everything, recycle, donate or throw out the unnecessary. If you have a hoard of old bills, junk mail, or post-pilling up, go through it all and shred the things you absolutely do not need to keep. If you hold on to debt, you'll always have it, so shred and discard the bank statements that are not financially healthy.
The other Human factor is the people you're in proximity to. If you're around lazy people for too long, you too will assimilate to them. Be mindful of the people you spend a lot of time with and create some distance if they're taking you away from your most important thing.
An oldie, but a goodie. Smudging.
You may have heard the term smudging. It's a spiritual cleanse where you move around your living space releasing, and purging the negative energies. Think of it as exorcism for your home, to set it back to its factory settings.
You simply light a sage bundle or use your favorite clearing insense. Mine is dragon's blood. I only use sage if some real creepy ghosties are lurking about. If you're using sage, you might want to put it on an Abalone shell and use a feather or hand fan to direct the smoke.

You move anti-clockwise around your home, directing the smoke intentionally to release all negative energies lingering in your space. Be sure to get the smoke in each corner of each room. You can say a prayer, an incantation, or declaration of your choice as you visit each room to purge the bad juju. Be sure to leave a window ajar to allow the energies to exit.
Once you've completed that, you can put out the sage. I would then open my front door visualizing all the negative juju that remains being sucked out the front door as I sweep East to west. I then do a road opening floor wash. I mop my kitchen hallway and use the remainder on my doorstep and front door path.
You can then move clockwise, light your favorite happy feel-good incense, scented candle, play music, sound your favorite singing bowl to inject good vibes back into your space.
The Elemental Cleanse
Now we're getting into the Heavenly Energies... Elemental cleanses work best if you have a good understanding of your own personal affinity. However, if you do not, you can simply try each one and see which one is most impactful for you.
The Water Cleanse. It's the most simple and easiest to complete as almost everyone has access to a body of water. I do this at least 3-times a week, but you can do it at least once a week and notice the difference. I find it works better with salts like Epsom salts, Himalayan pink salt, etc. I also favor doing it in a tub where you can submerge yourself.
So if you are doing this in a tub, you would fill the tub with water like you would drawing yourself a bath. You can say a blessing or your intention, i.e to clear and remove any negative energies that are attached to you or your auric field. Now you grab 3 big handfuls of salts and sprinkle them into the tub.

You then climb into the tub and completely submerge yourself under, envisioning all the negative energies and attachments being sucked out of you. You want to stay in the bath for 8 minutes, repeat your intention 7 times while submerging yourself after each repetition. You then pull the plug and get out watch as all the negativity flushed down the drain.
An alternative to the above, although not as effective, is to take your shower and imagine the negativity being washed away. You can use a salt scrub to purify the body as you go acting like a repellant to the bad-juju that's attached to you.
If you have access to clear, clean, and unpolluted oceans you can perform the first practice above.
The Earth Cleanse. There are a few ways to activate the Earth element for cleansing purposes, the mud bath, the cave submersion, or the barefoot on grass or sand.
The most powerful of the three is the cave submersion. You set the intention before you go in, and you re-emerge anew. You enter the cave to lay to rest the old stories. To bury your fears and talk with your shadows. To allow healing and for all that doesn't serve you to be taken and purged from you.
I like to stay inside for an hour or so but stay inside for at least 8 minutes. For when you emerge from the womb of the Earth (the cave), you will be anew.

The second is a mud bath, and spa facilities will have this treatment available. The importance is the intention you bring with you while doing it.
A simple top-up is to ground one's self and reconnect to the Earth. You do this by walking barefoot on the green grass or on a sandy beach. You can even make a point of resting your spine up against a strong tree. It does wonders for those who find themselves anxious or stressed.
The Air Cleanse. This one requires a windy space, climbing high altitudes, hiking in the mountains, or along a tall cliff. If you are daring enough, try a skydive, or take a hot air balloon ride. You want the wind to be so powerful that you feel it in every fiber of your being.
The same applies... you have to apply the intention of being cleansed and allow the element to purge it from you. So it doesn't matter if you are hiking along a cliff, in the mountains, or just outside while it's hazardously windy. Simply allow it to cleanse you, and it will.
The Fire Cleanse. For this, you need a fire: bonfire, home fire, fire pit, or even walking on hot coals. The classic fire is perfect for a fire cleanse. All you need to it expose your body to the flame, sit in front of the fire and feel it burn away the negative energies attached to your auric field. Start with your spine and sit for a while, then move to the side, then the front, and then the other side.
You can also gaze into the flame of a candle, and it will have a similar effect although, the exposure to the heat of a fire is more impactful.
The Salt Cure.
The salt cure is a feng shui remedy used in classical feng shui practices. In feng shui, there are many ways to combat the yearly, annual, and even daily star energies using the elements. Today I wanted to keep it simple and discuss the salt cure.
When I first discovered Salt Cures, I was intrigued by how they worked. I'm a 'why' kid, after all. I rarely get sick but my bed facing and the room I spent a lot of time in were both in the South and during that year and more specifically, the month was visited by sickness stars in flying star feng shui. Sure enough, I felt my vitality drain, and I placed a salt cure in my room, and within 24 hours, all symptoms were gone.

Now, I practice a lot of cleansing in my work, and at home, it's not that the salt cure fixed everything, but as I caught it early, it combatted the energy, and the salt crystals crystallized and crusted I knew it worked and I have them all over my house now. Remember there are three energies that impact us Heavenly, Human & Environment.
Okay, so how can you make your own salt cure?
You will need a Jar, I recycle my coffee or Yankee candle jars for this purpose, you DO NOT need the lid they must remain OPEN. You will need course salt and 6 copper coins, of the highest domination, in the UK I use 2 pence pieces, some foil, and a container to place the jar in.
You fill the Jar up 3/4 of the way with salt and place the 6 coins on top of the salt.
Wrap some foil around the Jar to catch the salt for when it crusts (catches the negative energies).
Now place your Salt Cure in the open container (do not cover the top).
Place your Salt Cure in the room of your choosing or the room you spend the most time in.
Now fill the salt cure carefully to the rim with water and you've just created your Salt Cure.
DO NOT touch the Salt cure with your bare hands, it literally stores negative energies. Some people without strong Qi have been known to have bad luck, illness, and headaches when they touch the Salt cure. So leave it in a place it won't get disturbed.
When it gets too crusty, you want to throw out the entire thing (wear gloves). You can keep the container but NOT the Jar with the salt.
You then repeat and replace as needed.
If you'd like me to create another post all about Saltwater cures, and ideal placements to put your salt cures let me know, be sure to share with anyone who can benefit from this post & have a magical weekend.
